Dedication There are always many unsung heroes in the history of any school - people who have worked tirelessly and selflessly to bring honor and acclaim to their campus. Such a person has devoted the last thirteen years to teaching at E1 Cajon Valley High School, including the three YGSIS his Agricultural Department occupied the sole building on the campus. His students have brought home numerous awards in local, county, state, and even national competition. Winning trophies, however, has not been the major accomplishment of this teacher. Rather, it has been to open new and exciting vistas in vocational agriculture. Each year, more individuals discover hidden talents and new interests under the patient guidance of this man. There is little wonder, then, that Mr. Cornelius dubs him as Mr. El Cajon. Thank you is but a small token to exchange for your years of service, but if you look into the eyes of your stu- dents, the gratitude and inspiration you see there will more than say it for us, Mr. Dyer. Miguel Varsity Mike Davis Class Cf '64 Utopian or Realist? Which was your party? The spring of '64 offered ECVHS students their first opportunity to register with a particular party and then actually go to the polls to cast a secret ballot in a standard voting booth. Socially, hootenannies were the most popular activities and hungry Braves welcomed the advent of a popcorn-vending machine in the gym. Nineteen sixty-four was also tinged with sadness as we bade goodby to Charlie Logan, our custodian. No one will ever forget the LEGEND presentation assembly at which he was honored. Near the end of the year the Senior class proudly announced that three of its members had attained valedictorian status with a perfect 4. 0 grade point record. Finally, recognizing a major need of their school, die Seniors presented a trophy case to house the symbols of El Cajon's many triumphs. 14 Folk singers entertain at the hootenannies.
