This year she was accompanied by President Lana Gomez and Vice-President Mike Thompson to the annual state convention in Muskogee. A new project for this year has added an already invaluable asset to the school. The 'iBook Nookf' organized at the beginning of the year, provides an easy purchase of paperback novels, reference material and political writings. The initiation ceremony at the end of the year marked the beginning of another tradition for E.H.S. This organization promotes an interest in education and knowledge, but it also serves as a goal for scholastic achievement. Spanish Club Organized to promote a better understanding of the Spanish language and people, the Spanish Club has grown steadily under the sponsorship of Mrs. Vera Tippens. The colorful Fiesta of the Spanish Club provided an unforgettable event in this year's activities. Costumes portrayed the gay customs of the Mexican people, and the theme of the Fiesta centered around the conventional colors and decorations common throughout old Mexico.
