Future Homemakers of America The Future Homemakers of America organization is under the sponsorship of Mrs. Merion Cook and Mrs. Venna Lee Cook. The purpose of the club is to further the interest and capabilities of each girl, and to train them in the management and enjoyment of their future homes. Each year is highlighted by a Sweetheart Banquet in February. This involves the ceremony initiating each pledge into full membership. They visited the University of Oklahoma, where they participated in the annual Engineer's Week.
