J IM TOWNSEN D As President of the Future Scientists of America, Jim has carried most of the responsibility in establish- ing and organizing this new chapter. Also a participant in Student Council, the National Honor Society, the Talon Staff, the Patriot Staff, and various other ac- tivities, .lim was selected Student of the Month of February of this year. PEGGY DUNN Peggy Dunn is the German Club's Outstanding Member for this year. She serves as president of the organization, and is active in Student Council. She is vice-president of Art Club and an active member of Pep Club and Thespians. Peggy was also a member of the crew for 'Tammy Tell Me True. MARTHA ROPER Martha Roper represents Eisenhower's Future Home- makers of America. Martha is president of F.H.A. and a representative to Student Council. She won the '4Betty Crocker award and was elected Homemaker of Tomorrowfi Showing great leadership abilities throughout the year, Martha has been selected as the F.H.A. Outstanding Member. MIKE HILDEBRAND The National Forensic League has selected Mike Hildebrand as its representative for an Outstanding Student. Mike serves as president of N.F.L. and was vitally involved in the organization of the club. Also active in Student Council, Thespians, and several other organizations, Mike has contributed greatly toward the renown of Eisenhower.

PATSY BASSEL Patsy Bassel has filled the position of Secretary in Latin Club this past year. She is also Secretary-Treas- urer of the Sophomore Class and a participant in several organizations throughout the school. Combining the qualities of leadership and scholarship with a warm personality, Patsy has been chosen as one of the 1965 Outstanding Students representing Eisenhower. utstanding Students ' 65 JERRY CHURCHWELL The E Club has chosen Jerry Churchwell as its Outstanding Member because of his warm enthusiasm and devotion to the Eagle reputation. Jerry is the only four sport letterman at Eisenhower, an active member of the Patriot Staff, the Key Club, and holds the position of flankerback on this year's football team. He is also the 1965 vice-president of the E Club. SUE AMENDE The Eisenhower French Club has chosen Sue Amende as its most Outstanding Member. As vice-president Sue has attended faithfully all meetings and activities, and her willingness to work has helped to make many of the French Club projects possible. Sue is an enthusiastic member of several organizations within the school, and she has proven herself a great asset to the standards upheld by E.H.S.

SHIRLEY HUGHES The newly organized Tri-Hi-Y has chosen Shirley Hughes as its most Outstanding Member. Demonstrat- ing the qualities of intelligence, leadership, and a wonderful personality, Shirley has made herself not only an asset to the organization she represents here, but also an invaluable component of the school in general. Shirley is a member of Student Council, Pep Club, French Club, and serves as president for Tri-Hi-Y. RAY GONZALES Ray Gonzales was chosen as the most Outstanding Member of the Spanish Club because of his helpful attitude and the great initiative in his work. Through his efforts in Spanish Club, Student Council, Athletics, and various other activities, Speedy has demonstrated his leadership ability in these and other activities within Eisenhower. MIKE THOMPSON Mike Thompson serves as vice-president of the Na- tional Honor Society. He is a1so.involved in Thespians where he holds the office of vice-president this year. Mike was in the casts of Tammy, Tell Me True, and the Diary of Anna Frank. He has worked dili- gently all year, undertaking the tremendous respon- sibility of the Book Nook management, and has proven himself extremely capable of personifying the true qualities of N.H.S.: scholarship, leadership, and serv- ice. CHARLA BRYSON The Vocal Music Department has selected Charla Bryson to represent its musical talents and abilities. Besides holding the office of President in the High School Mixed Chorus, Charla was the student director of Eisenhower's first opera, Amah1 and the Night Visitors. She has further contributed to the school by participating in Thespians, Pep Club, Student Coun- cil, and by being Secretary-Treasurer of the first senior class of E.H.S.
