Evelyn Cartony, USE Secretary, faces a secretary's night- mare-an executive's desk. Cabinet, Senate In the cabinet is vested the executive power of the student government. Made up of the four elected oflicers and the six appointed oilicers, the cabinet assists the USE president in making the day-to-day decisions which aPfect so greatly the operation of any school. In the senate is vested the legislative power of the student government. Representative in nature, this group develops the long-range program of student participation in govern- ment including by-laws, etc. In this group rests the oppor- tunity for students to see and participate directly in truly representative type government. USE Treasurer lohn Nelsons favorite pastime is work- ing with figures.
