First Edwardsville team to win State tournament game STR Bob McManus had the highest batting average of .418. Phil Conreaux had the most RBI's with 28. Greg Steiner had the most base on balls with 25. Vince Broderick pitched for 17 victories in his career. Dan Allaria and Bob McManus were tied for the most doubles with 12. When this year’s baseball season was over, our Tigers had a record of 26 wins and 9 losses and | tie. Their conference record was 7 wins and 1 loss. Six members from the team were named to the All-Area-Team. They were Dan Allaria, Vince Broderick, Phil Conreaus, Bob Manville, Bob McManus and Jim Scheibal. 1.
