Mr. Asbury relates some interesting facts to his history class, LANGUAGES The English department helps us to under- stand our language by teachng us the rules that govern it and by introducing us to great authors who have used the language well. Foreign languages offered at E.H.S. include Latin, French, German, and Spanish, — = — English Essentials students work on research papers, Raydine Chester, Betty Halbe, Barbara Vaughn, and John O'Connell learn French by listening to tape recordings. Miss Jett answers a question concerning a Journalism test. Business Education The business education department gives specialized training for future bookkeepers, clerks, secretaries, and typists. Students wishing to make their careers in the business world may take courses in business practices and economics, A bookkeeping class ponders a question. Future secretaries work on typing assignments, Rick Woolridge, Monte Gusewelle, and Larry Shimunek practice their typing skills. Miss Podnar presents a broader view of the Food and Drug Act to her general business class, PHYSICAL EDUCATION, HEALTH, AND DRIVERS EDUCATION Girls in P,E, practice their tennis skills, Students of E.H.S, develop good health habits and acquire a sense of sports- manship by participating in the health and physical education program, Through classroom study and actual driving, the drivers education de- partment instructs the students inthe correct way to drive and teaches them the proper respect and handling of the automobile.
