The industrial courses at E.H.S. provide training in the areas of mechanical drawing, woodwork, metal work, and electricity. The students are taught to do their work faster and safer. This knowledge will help them acquire higher and better paying jobs in these fields. Our home economics department is primarily concerned with preparing girls to manage happy homes. Home projects, studies in nutrition, meal planning, sewing, interior decorating, and child care are all offered to prepare the future homemaker. Vocational agriculture students study the correct farming techniques, raising livestock, farm management, farm financing, and farm mechanics. Through their own farm projects, they gain experience which will help them manage successful farms. Mary Jenkins, Judy Land, and Mary Cairo learn how to prepare vegetables correctly.
