Physical Education, Health, And Drivers Education The health and physical education departments seek to develop healthy bodies and healthy minds. In physical education classes, the students develop sportsmanship, a sense of fair play, co-operation, and leadership, as well as co-ordination and endurance. In health classes students study proper health and safety habits, mental illnesses, balanced diets, good grooming, and first aid. Through classroom study and actual driving, the drivers education department strives to teach safety and courtesy on the highway and to impart a greater knowledge of and respect for traffic laws. Richard Helm takes a reflex-action test while Wayne Horton records his score. Mrs. Price demonstrates first aid while the health class watches attentively.
