SENIOR GLASS lli'lllllS6I4DlR6I In the fall of 49 ninety-four happy seniors walked through the doors of old E. C. H. S., and as we did, We breathed that sigh of relief We're almost out. After we got to know our fellow classmates at a get-acquainted party in the gym, we elected our class officers as follows: Don Couch, West Salem ....................................... ,.............. P resident Larry Searby, Browns ........................ ............,...... V ice-President Eleanor Johnson, West Salem ............... Secretary-Treasurer Our unfortunate class sponsors were Miss Chism and Mr. Hart. From this class Coach Hortin received the help of fifteen fellows in football: and Coach Hart the help of eight fellows in basketball. Judging from the results of the season, they must have been good help. Patsy Cooper represented the class as one of the cheerleaders, and added much enthusiasm and color to the year of sports. As a goal for our senior and succeeding years, we chose the phrase, Find a way or make one. With this motto as the background for our studies as well as pleasure most of us settled down to work to find a way. We selected as our class flower, the white carnation, and class colors, blue and gold. Under the direction of George Engelman our class presented the play, Angel of Red Canyon. We realize that these four years have been the happiest of our lives. As we walk out the doors of E. C. H. S., we hope we are ready for that career.
