Much more is done in these below deck spaces for they hold the heart of the engineering plant- the main boilers. Here the start of all the propulsive power, some 70,000 hp. is generated. To maintain and operate these spaces demands a great deal of hard Work, uncomfortable watches, and great deal of know-how.
