ENGLISH HUMANITIES Basement maze is setting for assembling text Students not only witnessed but actually took part in the final assembly of the eleventh grade anthology. HUMAN RELATION ft Plans to revise all grade levels begin Re scheduling, as always, causes much chaos throughout the corridors of Edsel Ford. Junior Chuck Sikora and counselor Mrs. Almerene Kaufman attempt to assemble a workable schedule. The counselors of Edsel Ford are investigating the possibility of altering the Human Relations’ curriculum. If revised, the curriculum will center more directly on the students’ individual problems and questions, involving the discussion of teenage issues. This program of personal concern, if adopted, will be initiated with sophomores. An independent study program has been more fully developed within the past year. This program allows a student, with a special talent or interest, to work with a teacher on a one-to-one basis. The project is chosen by the student, and he may receive credit or work for the pure enjoyment of learning. Presently, there are about twenty-five students participating in this specialized program. A tranquil moment in the guidance office is shared by Mrs. Jan Flegle. senior Julie Austin, and Mr. Alan Dawson as they reminisce the main events that were captured by last year s yearbook. 20 Counselor Mr. Ronald Doherty assists senior Denise Drabek as she begins to formulate her college cirriculum at Henry Ford Community College.
