Mrs. Mason and Mrs. Slagle join the lunch bunch for a picture. Geraldine Mason has been a cook at North¬ west for 20 years. She ' s seen many a stu¬ dent come and go. She takes care of bank¬ ing the lunch money. Patricia Slagle has been at Northwest for 13 years. Both women are there daily from 7:30-1:00. The cooks really enjoy their job. They feel they are building the kids ' bodies, while teachers are building their minds. Hugh Skiles has been the school ' s janitor for 12 years. He also drove a school bus for nine years before that. His main job at Northwest is general maintenance and care for the building. If you ever drive past the school, you ' ll see the fine job he ' s done. Mr. Skiles takes time out of his busy schedule to pose and smile. NORTHWEST COOKS AND CUSTODIAN 83

Most of the kids workes hard to build up their muscles for high school track.
