Officers were elected in the fall and because of the small class size dues of $10 per student initiated. Mr. Thiel, class advisor, worked with the class to get ready for Homecoming. Ad¬ vertising was sold to pay for programs for the Homecoming game while the Homecoming committee developed the theme The Year Of The Bicentennial. An 8 foot by 5 foot 1776 flag was made by Sis Hug and Mary Hoag and wicker chairs, donated by Mrs. Clela Curry, adorned the float for the Queen and Court. Because the Junior class is small it was decided to have a slave Day to raise money. Dennis Curry plowed a field, Larry Kline turned his home into a car wash and other Juniors had jobs raking leaves and washing windows. The Junior class also sold programs at basketball games with cover designs by Tom Peckinpaugh and Dave Thomas. Junior Class officers are: FROMT ROW: Mary Hoag, President, and Kay Herman, Vice-Presi¬ dent. BACK ROW: Lisa Mohre, Secretary, and Rhonda Fenstermaker, Treasurer. 69
