This year the scholarships went to Michelle Wert- man and Mary Hoag. They will be traveling to Cuernavaca, Mexico in the summer months. To finance this program the members sold gift items in the fall. New members were accepted and initiated into the Club at the October meeting. After holding a costume contest with new members dressed as people from the Spanish speaking countries, the new members were initiated. Now in jeans they were blindfolded and led by an old member through cooked spaghetti, tomatoes, and who knows what else. Also, a scavenger hunt was planned for new members. At the November meeting Richie Frank, Pam Rockey, and Cheryl Flynn showed their slides of Mexico from their trip in the summer of 1975. A Christmas party complete with pinata was held in December and some members went caroling, singing in Spanish of course. The Spanish Club Banquet was held in May with only active members attending.
