FUTURE HOMEMAKERS OF AMERICA During 1975-1976 school year, the Edon FHA Chapter was involved in various activities including a Christ¬ mas party for preschoolers, Valen¬ tine ' s party for senior citizens, Heart and Cancer Drives. The chapter earned money and collected from the community with a Trick or Treat for Children ' s Hospital and a Bake Sale for Sunny Side. The chapter also put a booth up at the fair and entered a float in the Homecoming parade. Deb Held and Becky Brown received their State Homemaker Degrees. This award is the highest given from the Association. Milt Nester was crowned our 1976 FHA King at our Annual Parent Night by Deb Held 1976 FFA Queen. FRENCH CLUB The French Club consists of six mem¬ bers, two boys and four girls. The club had a Christmas party in December at M iss Goniotakas ' home at which French cooking was served. The Club also went to Toledo in April to see the French play, Little Prince . To raise money for this trip, the club held a Bake Sale. DECA DECA The purpose of the Distributive Education Clubs of America is co¬ operative education, which is a joint venture between local busi¬ ness and classroom related activi¬ ties. Designed to cover all aspects of marketing and distribution from the producer to the consumer, DECA is a National, State and local club organization in which all Edon Distributive Education students par¬ ticipate. The club activities are related to business activities such as fund raising projects. The proceeds pay their dues and provide recrea¬ tion. This year the project was selling Christmas candles.
