COMMENDABLE SEASON The Varsity Basketball team fin¬ ished in the middle of what would have to be considered possibly the best Class A League in Ohio. Four Seniors, Floyd Goshorn, Kevin Skiles, Lynn Smith, and Randy Thiel, were among the starting five with only one returning starter, Randy Thiel. Randy Thiel broke the single game scoring record with a 35 point burst at North Central. He also broke the single season scoring record set last year by Steve Bowling. Faced with inexperience and against exceptionally fine com¬ petition, the Bombers made a very commendable showing in the 75-76 season. Ron Bunce shoots. THE 1975-76 FRESHMAN AND RESERVE BASKETBALL TEAMS The Reserve Basketball Season came to a grand final with a thrilling 56-54 triple overtime victory over Antwerp on the last game of the season. The reserves also scored impressive victories over Camden 60-34 and Fayette 51-40. Also included was a 50-43 overtime victory over Hilltop. The team showed steady progress during the season and despite the lack of height played very well on many occasions. Close contests were lost to Hilltop and North Central and on several occasions the team played well during three quarters only to have one poor quarter and lose. Nevertheless, improvement was made and several players promise to be good varsity players. FRESHMAN TEAM: FIRST ROW: Mike Blue, Mark Blue, Kerry Brigle, Mike Long, Dan Hug, Tony Entenman manager. SECOND ROW: Gary Gearhart, Jack Stantz, Lyle Held, Bruce Siders, Phil Moore, Bob Thiel, Tom Bloir, Lyle Curry, Dave Blue.
