Gearhart. SPANISH CLUB The Spanish Club was very busy this year. The annual initiation and costume party was held in the fall. Winter brought the Christ¬ mas party, and a banquet was held at a Mexican Restaurant in the Spring. Officers this year were Lynn Kund¬ ard President, Mike Muehlfeld Vice President, Diane Siebenaler Secre¬ tary, and Mark Hug Treasurer. Two very successful sales campaigns selling various items enabled three students to study this summer in Mexico under the John Hurd Mem¬ orial Scholarship. They were Sherry Bowles, Cindy Lemmon, and Steve Bloir, with Richie Frank as the alternate. 54

LIBRARY CLUB The Library Club was very active this year. They built a float for the Homecoming Parade that took first prize. Two very successful Book Fairs in the fall and spring helped to finance the activities of the club. A poster sale also proved to be popular among the students. Officers of this years Library Club were President Chris Jeske, Vice-President Deb Goshorn, Secre¬ tary Nancy Stutts, Treasurer Ellen Sutton, and Reporter Deb Smith. 56
