The National Honor Society The Edmunds Chapter ol the National Honor Society is an organization recognizing outstanding seniors and juniors. The twenty- iour seniors and nineteen juniors elected to membership this year are the charter memhers oi the local group. The ohjectives of all the chapters ol The Na- tional Honor Society are Mto create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership, and to encourage the development of character in all high school studentsf' Election of memloers to this chapter is held annuaiiy in September and February. All fac- ulty memhers vote for the specified numher which cannot exceed fifteen percent oi the sen- ior class and ten percent oi the junior class. No student is eligilmle who malies less than a B average on all high school suhjects. Scholar- ship alone, however, is not the lJasis oln selec- tion. Ormly those who are outstanding in Serv- ice.
