Tom Riggin and Doug Rollings were the two top players with Clif Palmer and Charles Turner behind. Fifth man was undecided through most of the season. The netters went as far as Severna Park for a match. They also went to Douglass, Poly, Dun- bar, and Southern. They battled Forest Park, City, Mervo, Patterson, and St. aloe at home. As Coach jim Norton stated, XVe have a tough schedule this year, but the boys are enthusiastic. The golfers had their troubles again for their Hrst two matches. St. joe defeated the Redmen 8-4 as Ron Appler was the only Indian victor. The Douglass golfers blanked the Redskins 12-0. Ron Appler, Charles Blankenship, Bill john- stone, and Doug Mayer were the top golfers. The team had no returning lettermen this year. As the season went on, the golfers, coached by Mr. Alvin Ruppel, began to improve with the defeat of Carver, IOM-IW. VARSITY GOLF. Front row-Tim McFarland, R. Appler, R Dillinger, C. Blankenship. Fun and Exercise in Sports SHOOTING HIGH is Sarah Cousar as Sonja Evans and Betty Jackson give a helping hand. This winter brought forth Edmondson's first girls' basketball team. Although they chalked up a record of 0-3, they showed continuous school spirit and good sportsmanship through every quarter. Forest Park was their first opponent. The key word in that game was ACTION. Many spills occurred in that rough and tumble contest. Forest Park took the game, but they didn't do it very easily. The next meeting with Carver was 45 x played away, but the fast pace marked it just as lively as the first. Even the next game with Southern showed that the girls still played a spirited game. Despite their many losses the girls played hard and fast, making a good showing on the basket- ball court. Next year they hope to do much better and come up with a few victories. GIRLS' BASKETBALL.
