STANDING ON YOUR HEAD IS EASY if you are Z1 member of the Gymnastics Club. Mrs. Little and Mrs. Butler assist I. johnson, Aquilla, S. johnson, Mathews, Underwood. Epps, jefferson. Pose and Being nimble and quick is second nature to the girls in the Modern Dance group and Girls Gym- nastics Clubs. Expressing themselves in new and unusual ways is nothing extraordinary to them. At Edmondson there are two kinds of Girls Gym- nastics Clubs: Gymnastics and Swedish Gymnas- tics. The girls in the Gymnastics Clubs are eager P. jackson. P. Howard, I. Carter, Dee, Husband, I'Vallace. Purpose to proht from use of the modern apparatus. Meanwhile the Modern Dance group expresses or communicates an idea, a story, or an emotion through body movement. In creating dances of self-expression, they develop coordination and physical fitness. Both these groups help the girls to achieve poise, confidence, and a better under- standing of others. Lechert, john Miller, Key, Lettau, clskins HScalp Foes The Edmondson tribe posted an overall sea- sonal record of 7-O-l, and by trouncing the Loyola Dons, private school champs, took the M.S.A. Junior Varsity gridiron crown. The fresh- man-sophomore squad ended their season with an even 3-3 record. Ryan, Leish ure, Keller. Opening the season on their new gridiron, the Redmen toppled St. joe, 66-8. They went on to compile 227 points during the season, compared to 28 enemy points. Leader in the scoring de- partment was Wayne Reis with 44 points. The Skins were tied by the second-place Carver Cubs for the only blemish on their slate. They blanked one half of their opponents dur- ing the season.
