The pinsters, however did not keep this lead, for as the season went on the opposing teams got tougher right along the line, and at the end of the first round Ed' x ' ' ' ' :son was tied with Southern for last place with 4 wins and l7 losses. We were all set to win the second round, but so were the rest of the teams, and we again ended in a last place tie with Southern d ' ' ' ' 34 losses. an again with 4 wins and l7 losses. Our season record was 8 wins and The high game, l46, was rolled by our anchor man, Charles Peacock, on January I4, against Southern. On the Zlst of the same month he floored 38l pins against City for a high game record. The three-game average for the team was l,569. The individual averages are as follows: Charles Peacock ............... llO Edward Kohler .................. 95 John Klingmeyer ............... lO8 George Gavin .................. 93 Donald Sapp .................. lO2 Larry Caldwell .................. 92 Don Drury ..................... 95 Behind the leadership of Lefty Charles Peacock and John Klingmeyer they fought hard and fair until the last. Also a lot of credit should go to Donald Sapp, whose fast thinking and manly voice encouraged the team through thick and thin Although they had small numbers on the winning side of the score card the spirit was still there, and that's what counts in the long run,
