HOMECOMING ACTIVITIES Tricycle races signaled the beginning of the homecoming events for 1978. Keith Ledin was the winner of the singles race and Sandy Jacobson and Sylvia Hedler won the doubles race. Monday afternoon the fifteen King and Queen finalists were announced. Queen Semi-finalists were: Lisa Anderson, Connie Dowdle, Lisa Elia-son, Patty Felegy, Joyce Kuch, Angel Super, Carrie St. George, Lori McNeal, Betty Ruud, Cindy Rud, Carlene Lipa, Sherry Weinstock, Alice Corbett, Annette Thompson, Laura Pearson, and Tammy Kramer. The King Semi-finalists were: Tony Neis, Pat Faber, John Schroeder, Darrel Bosell, Jim Wentland, Dave Farr, Jon Chelstrom, Gary Randall, Mike Mc-Murchie, Randy Bircher, Glen Brozak, Petch Howitz, Tom Kaczrowski, Gino Villela, Craig Weckworth and Jim Zahor-ski. Tuesday's activity was a spaghetti chow-down which was won by Kevin Wohlk. On Wednesday the annual student-faculty basketball game was played. The faculty huffed and puffed their way to a 32-16 victory. Friday morning the annual Marathon race was held. Laura Comminetti and Glenn Chiodo won the contest. After a one year absence, the homecoming parade was returned to Edison's Homecoming festivities. Floats were built by all of the classes and the Pep, Spanish, and French clubs. Decorated cars were also permitted in the parade. The Queen and her court rode through the parade in a fishing boat. The winning floats were the Pep Club and the Spanish Club. After the parade Grand-Marshall, Pete Guzy presided over the rest of the activities, which included the game, a 54-0 victory over West. Top: Band and Pom-Tom perform at halftime. HOMECOMING ASSEMBLY Scattered mirrors reflecting the past, set the mood for this year's Homecoming theme, “Remember When. The assembly took place September 28, 1978, at 7:30 p.m. Acts varied from the music of the roaring 20's to today's 1970 rock and folk music. Joyce Kuch and Pat Faber were crowned Queen and King at the end of the evening.
