Catherine of travel. lnformality adds zest to Martha Cole's humanities course, an addition to the Edison curriculum Miss Boatright, the junior high librarian, reviews a scintillating new novel for her students. ,-an Earl, geography teacher, uses models to demonstrate to her students the early methods Team teaching at Edison is being PTHC' ticed by Larry Keating in sophomore history classes. This year, the English department ex- panded to include a humanities course for juniors. All who participated i,n this ex- perience were extremely proud of the re- sults. Besides rhetoric and writing, the En- , Qagjttlkt, glish department offered an analytical ' study of classical and Contemporary liter- ature. ln all the social studies courses, reasons why events occurred and why leaders emerged were emphasized, rather than just names and dates. Individual research and group discussion gave new meaning to the events which established the founda- tions for our present civilization. this year.
