The Education Service Center, located at 31st and New Haven, is a modern structure promoting modern education. Adult education for the welfare of children and youth is the purpose of the Parent-Teacher Association. This na- tional organization was founded in 1897 and now has a membership of over l2,000,000 working for the betterment of education. The P-TA at Edison serves as the public re- lations medium for the school and strives to coordinate its activities with those of surrounding schools. Guidance counselors assist each student in selecting a high school curriculum, a major field of study, and a university best fitted to his personality, interests, and capabilities.
