With so much spirit, it seemed that every thing was centered around the next game. It all started when the Fighting Eagles played games and always ended up victo- rious. A i 7-0 we were finally recognized as a really good team by the press and other coaches. When it rains the Eagles score! The Por- tage game will vouch for that. The game was billed to be close, but the score showed our team to he a real power house. The week of November the ninth was Jilted with more signs and spirit than usual. The Wallace Hornets were the Eagles last obstacle to a perfect season and the game proved to be one of the most rugged of the year. The Jans were great as they were all year. The team saw that they got thesatis- f action of a victory and a number one team and a Jirst rate coaching staff. Festivities af ter the game included a cara- van of police cars, afire truck full of Fight- ing Eagles, three buses of fans, and about 50 cars which all went to Edison gym to celebrate. The next day opened with the biggest and best pep session in Edison history. The team did their thing by throwing coaches Hamilton. Halashak. Hershey and Renn in the showers. C.C. Squad, ROW 1: B.
