SENIORS COMPLIMENTFD ON COMEDY N DECEMBER 15 the semor class pre sented Ready Made Famlly to a full house Thls excellent comedy expert 15 played by what We conslder an all star cast was produced by MISS Jean Hllhard wlth Barbara Nelson as student dlrector The plot offered many hlghly humorous sltuatlons A w1dow Janlce Cook and a wldower Bruce Slagg returned from a va catlon to announce thelr engagement to thelr respectlve chlldren who promptly de clded to dlscourage the match When then mother was not around the wldow s ch1l her flance Marle Wlleman played the l1ttle g1rl who mussed h1S ha1r trlpped h1m and stuck a pm 1n hls chalr Joan Hess portrayed a gxggly baby talklng glrl and Jlm Heuer a young man who pretended to have f1ts The Wldower s chlldren also op posed the match and when the1r father was out of the house were equally offen SIVC Jackle Cox took the part of the young woman who hked to talk about her opera t1on and Tom Doerr that of her brother who had homlcldal tendencles Other amus1ng characterlzatlons were glven bv Delores Rose as a neurotlc malden aunt and by Ruth Schultz and Sanford Gretebeck as the colored help After recelvlng the congratulatlons of the aud1ence upon thelr excellent perform ance and after removlng the grease palnt the cast enjoyed an after theater supper at the Chop House ln Janesvllle They enter tamed as thelr guests the faculty members who had helped ln the productlon Mrs Sllverwood MISS Hllllard MISS Moen and Mlss Pellkan These senlors worked on the productlon staff Mary Arthur was Prompt er John and D3V1d Dresser and Charles Smlth headed the tlcket sales The stage crew cons1sted of Wayne Peters D1ck Tr1ck and Don Harrington Betty Doerr and Joe Col l1ns were in charge of propertles Margaret Dorn and Roger bunby of costumes MISS H1ll1ard has sald that she has never ln her long experlence of produclng hlgh school plays worked w 1th a cast so coopera tlVe and so eag r to lmprove thelr talents She also compllmented them on the lengths to Whlch they Went 1n the effort to g1V6 a perfect performance Sandy Gretebeck for lnstance submltted to a Tom' 1 C ' ' ' 1 ll - ' 97 .
