BOYS' VARSITYfl.V. BASEBALL The 1978 Varsity Baseball Team finished a mediocre season with an 11-11 record. After Coach San Marco's team jumped out to a 4-0 start, a number of bad breaks were responsible for the leveling off of the slate. The team played well enough to be asked to Sectionals, but unfortunately lost in the opening round. Highlights for the season included a Taka Suzuki-lim Thorp combination no-hitter against Pleasantville. Another was Sophomore sensation Deece Hannigan's tying of the school's dou- ble record with five. Other stars were pitcher Adam Burrows with seven victories, Phil Bellissimo with two homeruns, and Pete Sileo with thirty-six consecutive stolen bases over a two year span. Mi' Row 1: M. Tracy, E.
