Ns This year the Girls' Varsity Basketball team, coached by Mr. Robert Rossano, finished the season with a 6-7 record. Co-captains Linda Martello and Nanette Keating played both strong offensive and defensive games. Martello, high scorer of the team, averaged twelve points per game with consistently good rebounding and aggressive playing. Keating contributed excellent free throw shooting and position versatility. Other fine players were junior Lucy Ahlert and sophomores Robin Husney and Michelle Alpert. With this gap left to fill, Coach Hogan's team finished with a disappointing 1-9 record. The ball handlers for the squad were Brian Lang and jon Spitz. The forward ranks were led by Peter Lindau, jon Flower and spot starter, Ricky Wortman, The two big men were centers Eric Lynn and Steve Sklar. These two, along with Flower, led the squad in the scoring and rebounding departments. 159

Strong offensive playing was provided by lane Alexander, Ginny Ackerman, Sarah Shaw, and Linda Peng. Diana 1 Duryea and Amy Borg played good defensive games.
