H Basket ball 2-5-4 - - -4 Basketball l-2-5-4 2 - - -4 l-2-5-4 4 4 5-4 4 4 4 l 2 5 5 5 4 l-2 5 4 1-2-5-4 l 2 l-2-5-4 4 5-4 5-4 4 4 4 - 4 1 2 5-4 1-2-15-4 15-4 l 2 3-4 4 5-4 5-4 4 In the fall of '41 we, a group of frightened youngsters enrolled in the Eden School to begin our first of 12 years of school le were Fredrick Bell Ronald Boden, Hugh Elsbury, Jack Holliday Sherry Hunt, Fern Kinnaman, Juanita Norton Edna Fern Orr, Larry Parker, Kenny Pope, Patty Randall and Floyd Snider Our teacher was Mrs Parker, went to Bessie Critser the beginning of our second year of school we lost Fredrick Bell, Larry Juanita Norton Edna Fern Orr Patty Randall and also Ronald Boden, who Fortville le also had some newcomers to add to our class enrollment They were Celeste DeLay Lewel McClendon Mary Lu Pike, Billy Pogue .IoMarilyn Springer, and Billy Hamilton Our teacher was Miss Iva Hendren We were a class of 14 when we began our third year of school Mary Lu Pike and Jack Holliday were gone but Joyce Clark Dick Hite Glorine Clive and Ronald Boden had entered r again our teacher Celesta DeLay had had come into our teacher was Mrs Helen Bridges of '44 when we enrolled in the iourth grade Mrs Bridges was During the previous summer Billy Hamilton Lewel McClendon, and moved away but Virginia Bond Melvin Jackley and Robert Conoway class In the fall We entered the fifth grade under Mrs Humfleet in '45 Delia Bell, Harold Beyers Emile Cottrell Martha Hatfield, and Alexander Wasmuth Joined us Virginia Bond had left the community during the summer We began our sixth year with an enrollment of 18 members Mrs Humfleet was our instructor Although we were happy to welcome Bud Holliday Carolyn Narvel and Sara high SHPE Chambers, we missed Delia Bell Robert Conoway, and Alexander Wesmutr In '47 we, the class of '53 moved upstairs to begin our first year of junior There were still 18 of us but some of the faces had changed Emile Cottrell, Chambers and Billy Pogue had gone elsewhere and Judy Byrd Marion Ragains and Harold Beyers Judy Byrd and Marion Ragains were gone at the beginning of the second year of junior righ but Joan Adams David McCreary and Jack McCreary took their places in our class of 18 In the fall of '49 we entered high school 'green freshiesu but willing to learn We had lost Jo Springer David and Jack McCreary only to gain Dick Davis Gerald Seward, Dale Sergman and Tommy Trennepohl The Freshman Initiation was the high point of the year We identified ourselves as sophomores in '50 51 by wearing maroon and write class sweaters Dick Cantwell came into our class during tra year, and Braska Odam was with us for a short time The loss of Gerald Seward, Dale Sergman Dick Davis and Carolyn Narvel decreased our enrollment to 16 During '51 '54 our Junior year Joan Adams moved to Anderson Glorine Olive married and Floyd Snider went to Wilkinson We gave a class play in March of '52, 'Just Country Folks' After school had closed in May the took an eight day trip to Washington, D C and New York went the class of '55 Melvin Jackley went to Maxwell school Holliday moved to Charlottesville and Martha Hatfield had junior and senior classes Ten of our class of 13 nine members remaining in Joyce Clark married Bud graduated with the class In 1952 we started our final year of high school with of '52 Our class now consists of Ronald Boden Dick Cantwell, Hugh Elsbury Dick Hite Sherry Hunt Cleo Kemerly Kenny Pope, Fern Kinnaman and Tommy Trennepohl Four of our present members are 12 year class mates They are Hugh Elsbury, Kenny Pope Sherry Hunt and Fern Kinnaman A parent of each of these four is an alumnus of Eden School respectively they are Floyd Elsbury of the class of '46, Mary Pope of the class of '29 Carl Hunt of the class of 'fl and Ada Kinnaman of the class of '24 DO YOU PENENBER WHEN Ronald Boden d1dn't tease everyone? Dick Cantwell wasn't good in English: Hugh Elshury wasn't a Romeo? Dick Hite d1dn't blushr Sherry Hunt d1dn't yell loud for the Flyers? Cleo Kemerly wasn't good natured?
