Along with the outrageous outfits and high spirited students, Spirit Week was made even better when the football team won the Homecoming football game 46-0. The sophomores were the winners of Spirit Week with the “Slicks and Chicks theme. DMD Echo Hills Golf Course 27 HOLD ON TO THE NIGHT On February 13, the 1988 Sweethearts dance was held in the school cafeteria. The Sophomore class covered the drab walls with blue, black, and white crepe paper and stars, making it the perfect scene to enhance the theme, Hold On to the Night . Ten couples came and danced the night away to the latest music, put on by Full Tilt Audio and pictures were provided by Halling's Photography. Senior Tracy Miltenberger was crowned queen, while Junior Amy Schultz, Sophomore Sandi Perkins, and Freshman Michele Norton completed the court. COUGAR FOOTBALL '87 To summarize. I could say in terms of wins and losses, this has been the most successful football team that Echo High School has ever had. I think we were probably the surprise football team in the state in class 'B'. and ended up only one game away from the opportunity to play in the state finals. This summer while at ASCC Cheerleading Camp, the girls won first place in the varsity division and grand champions overall.
