They went to LaGrande and participated in a contest that involved many schools in our area-big and small alike. Ratings were given and they came out with a 2 + . There were also some "Musicians of the Month" announced for almost all of the school months. The director decided who the deserving people were by selecting a trait and picking a person whom she felt qualified. Some of these people were Mike Holland, Darren Cook, Jeff Powney, Rhonda Colclesser and several others.Yesterday Once More George White-Director, Sharon Abercrombie, Sue Morgan, Tracy Tucker, Lana Cox, Billie DeMauro, Lori Otzenberger, Darla Power, Linda Olney, Jackie Hastings, Phyllis Abercrombie, Pam Stephenson, Lois Hedrick, RaMona Gibson, Debbie Emerson, Melody McCutchen, Tracy Horn, Cindy Stultz, Jayne Ann Graham Lisa Snow, Jeff Holland, Charles Berry, Lyle Nichols, Mark Douglass, Mark McGunnigle, Greg Cook, Wayne Hatley, Tim Matheney, Richard Alford, Willie Cano, Eti Ena. Radio ShackUndefeatable Girls are District Champs and 2nd in the state for 1976-77!Rooter - R This year a group of super-spirited guys got together and decided to help out the girls at their volleyball games. With the help of some of the cheerleaders, the boys learned a few cheers and were on their way. Their spirit really helped the girls keep up their hope for state competition. They were there to share the happiness of becoming District Champs and did a fantastic job at State, which was held in Portland. They were so into the excitement of the girls going to State that they gave a pep assembly in honor of the girls. I know the team, as well as the spectators, enjoyed and appreciated the effort these 7 guys put out. THANKS GUYS! Get it, Get it, GET IT ON!! Gee, can't a person have a little privacy?! The Blazer girls arrived at State undefeated but met their match during the Championship game against Dayville, a team who had not lost a game within three years. CONGRATULATIONS to the BLAZER GIRLS! About 30 students turned out, which goes to show that tennis is becoming an all-time favorite sport! Of course not everyone got to play in every match but I'm sure they all got at least some experience. The coach, Miss Matthews, was glad to see the enthusiasm the team had-especially after it was figured out where everyone could practice!
