ECHOES of '54 is gratefully dedicated to Echo High School's two athletic mentors. Mr. Norman Bergstrom and Mr. George De-Lap. The two have recently achieved a high school coach's ultimate in success. Their teams have repeatedly brought athletic honors for both sportsmanship and talent home to Echo. Coach De-Lap's basketball team of '53 was State B Champs and Mr. Bergstrom's baseball team made State Play-offs but they were called because of rain. Much more than the material possession of over three dozen trophies is owed to the leadership of Coach and Norm. Their craft on the field and understanding in the halls and locker rooms will always be remembered.
