Senior Class History I-'our years ago twelve freshmen began their first year in High School, a milestone long dreamed of. These students were Jim Pedro, Lanny Dorn, Vanyla Wilson, Carol Ottum, Barbara Bennett, Merrilyn Dorn, Kay Lieuallcn, Shirley Myers, Joyce Sather, Jeanne Ramos, Tom Able, and Sharon Chapin. Shortly after school started Arlene McKissick joined our group. Class officers were as follows: President - Jeanne Ramos Vice-President - Shirley Myers Secretary - Treasurer - Barbara Bennett Sergeant at Arms - Jim Pedro Advisor - Mrs. Wilkerson The sophomore year started with nine students. Barbara Bennett, Merrilyn Dorn, and Kay Lieuallcn moved. Russell Sloop and Jim Tolan entered the class. We elected the following officers: President - Shirley Myers Vice-President • Arlene McKissick Secretary • Treasurer - Jeanne Ramos Sergeant at Arms • Jim Tolan Advisor • Mr. Bergstrom Doug Maher joined the ranks during our Junior year. The class sold candy at basketball games to raise money for the Junior-Senior Banquet and put on a play, The Leavenworth Case. Our officers for the year follow: President - Russell Sloop Vice-President - Vanyla Wilson Secretary Treasurer - Joyce -Sather Sergeant at Arms • Tom Able Representative Tom Able Advisor - Mr. Maher With the addition of Martin Hibbs, we numbered fourteen Three one-act plays were presented by the class to help finance the Senior Sneak. Senior class officers were elected as follows: President - Jim Pedro Vice President - Jeanne Ramos Secretary - Treasurer - Lanny Dorn Sergeant at Arms - Martin Hibbs Representative - Doug Maher Advisor - Mr. Maher Live of the students have attended school together for twelve years. They are Lanny Dorn, Vanyla Wilson, Jim Pedro, Jeanne Ramos, and Joyce Sathers. Our class in ready now to start out in the world. We re looking forward to our next phase of education - the business of living. Class Motto - What We Are To Be, We Are Now Becoming. Class Flower - Yellow Rose Class Colors - Yellow and Lavender
