CHEERING SECTION The cheering section kept up an unceasing supporting chatter at all the games, and were regarded when the Cougars took the sub-district tournament and went on to place fifth in the State B Tournament and also to take the State Sportsmanship Trophy. The Echo High Cheering Section followed and supported the team to a great extent. The kids showed good sportsmanship and spirit, and were kept on their toes by the cheerleaders.

CHEERLEADERS Three cheerleaders were elected by the student body for the 1951-52 school year. They were Jeanne Ramos, Kay Valentine and Donna Snow. The girls wore blue corduroy blouses and tights and white corduroy skirts. They also wore white boots with blue tassles. All three of these girls are very active in school affairs. They are all in the Majorette Band and in the G. A. A. Jeanne and Donna are both on the annual and paper staffs. Kay is freshman class reporter. These girls are in many other activities. Jeanne, Donna and Kay made up a few new yells and fixed up the old ones. These « girls, along with the cheering section, supported the teams throughout the football, basketball and baseball seasons.
