OR A PARADE 1 1 1 ’ . i 1 1 1 1 ’ ’ ' ' J 1 1 Pep Club officers are: Sis Ramos.........................................President Kay Laughlin............................Secretary-Treasurer The Pep Club is shown in formations which they used at the State B Tournament and District Tournament. The girls will also use this formation at the Spokane Lilac Festival. This is to be their fourth year of taking part in this parade. Two of these years they have been invited to take part in the evening pageant. After the Pep Club was first organized they marched at the Portland Rose Festival in 1948, the Pendleton Dress-Up Parade, the Pendleton Round-Up Parade and the Spokane Lilac Festival Parade and many others. At the State Tournament, the Pep Club was warmly welcomed and they performed four times in three days. Majorette Carol Ann Wiglesworth was warmly applauded after giving some wonderful exhibitions of tumbling and twirling. The girls received new uniforms this year. They are royal blue satin slacks, with a gold and white stripe down the leg. The blouse is white satin with royal blue front piece and gold braid. The hats are white and blue satin with white plumes.

PEP CLUB There are 22 active members in the Pep Club, or Majorette Band as it is called on the march. The entire membership consists of 51 girls, many of whom have graduated, married, or have moved away. CHEERLEADERS Three cheerleaders were elected by the student body for the 1951-52 school year. They were Jeanne Ramos, Kay Valentine and Donna Snow. The girls wore blue corduroy blouses and tights and white corduroy skirts. They also wore white boots with blue tassles. All three of these girls are very active in school affairs. They are all in the Majorette Band and in the G. A. A. Jeanne and Donna are both on the annual and paper staffs. Kay is freshman class reporter. These girls are in many other activities. Jeanne, Donna and Kay made up a few new yells and fixed up the old ones. These « girls, along with the cheering section, supported the teams throughout the football, basketball and baseball seasons. Donna, Jean and Kay, Echo Hi's lively and vivacious cheerleaders, are shown in one of their original formations.
