OUR RECORD SENIOR CLASS HISTORY Four years ago thirteen freshmen climbed the stairs to Echo High. They were Frank Young, Donna Snow, Darlyne Wattenburger, Sis Ramos, Beverly Clark, Vina McCord, Lary McAtee, Jerry Myers, Roy Rohde, Danny Bowman, Jessie Boyer, Dayle Highley and Alvie Cunningham. In October, two new members, Ordean Johnson and Donald Eagle, joined our class. In February Alvie Cunningham and Delores Hall entered. Our class officers were: President ------- Vice President............... Secretary-Treasurer - - - - Sergeant at Arms - - - - Advisor - -- -- -- - - Sis Ramos - Roy Rohde Donna Snow Dayle Highley Miss Eatwell In our sophomore year Donald Eagle, Vina McCord and Delores Hall left. To make up for the loss three new members came. They were Dorene Davis, Pat Lindslay and Bill Spann. Initiating the freshmen was our privilege which we all enjoyed very much. President..........................Lary McAtee Vice President - -- -- -- - Roy Rohde Secretary-Treasurer ------- Sis Ramos Sergeant at Arms ------- Bill Spann Advisor .............. Mr. Bergstrom As juniors there were fifteen of us. Pat Lindslay, Jessie Boyer and Danny Bowman were not with us. Fred Wilson and Norman Winks joined us at the first of the year. We sold candy at basketball games and gave a play in order to earn enough money to give the Junior-Senior banquet. Our class officers that year were: President - -- -- -- -- Roy Rohde Vice President - ------ Bill Spann Secretary-Treasurer ----- Dayle Highley Sergeant at Arms - - - Darlyne Wattenburger Advisor.............................Mr. Bergstrom Now we are seniors. All of the traditional procedures and rituals observed by the seniors every year have been performed. Ordean Johnson is a junior now and Bill Spann left for Texas before Christmas. Also Norman Winks did not return. Two new students, Jeanette Deal and Delores Jenkins joined the class, making the total thirteen. Bill Spann was our president until he left. Frank Young was elected to take his place. Our class officers are: President.........................Frank Young Vice President - -- -- -- - Roy Rohde Secretary-Treasurer ------ Donna Snow Sergeants at Arms - - - - Lary McAtee and Jerry Myers Advisor...........................Coach DeLap Our Class Motto is: We stand at the bottom and look at the sky.
