Our first band trip was to Athena, Oregon Our second and lost trip was to Pendleton, Oregon This year os in the past few years we ployed every Wednesday for the Echo Community program The officers of the band this year are: SHIRLEY CUNHA, President; DICK SNOW, Vice President; JOE TO-AR, Manager; DAYLE HIGHLY, Assistant Manoger; MRS F. Pep Club The Echo High School Pep Club started this yeor with several public appearances They morched ot several football games During the basketball tournament at McEwen and at the district play-off in John Day the Pep Club gave two exhibitions This year the Pep Club was enlarged in membership considerably. There were six new members sworn in at the annual Pep Club banquet. The new members are Molly Esselstyn Mary Lou Farrens Patricia Stockard Kaye Laughlm Jessie Boyer Doris Boyer T rumpet Bass Drum Snare Drum Clarinet Bass Drum Maiorette The annual Pep Club Banquet was held in the gymnasium A full course dinner was served with a dance afterwards. The color scheme was gold and white, the Pep Club colors.
