It was done in 1970 and again this year by the Class of '75 as they defeated the Seniors 14-12. Alma Washington and Bridget Wiltz made the two touchdowns for the Junior Class. After the extra point conversion, the score was Juniors 14- Seniors 0. After halftime, Adrain Mosley made both of the senior touchdowns. The attempts for the extra points failed, leaving the final score 14-12. The Powderpuff King was Bob Pfannstiel. The Knight-In-Waiting was Ricky Phillips. This year, with the cooperation of a new administration, the Furr Student Council accomplished many successful projects on the school, District 13, Texas Association of Student Councils, and community levels. On the school level, the Student Council sponsored many projects. These include a teachers' tea, seventh grade orientation, Spirit Day, and homecoming. Also included were Christmas door decorations, a memorial plaque for Donald Williams, and the powder puff football game. The Furr Student Council was active in District 13 Student Councils. The Furr Council served as Vice- President of District 13 '73-'74, and was elected President for '74-'75, Furr Student Council members participated in various district projects, such as the Camp Manison Leadership Workshop, Academic Bowl, and an exchange program with Washington High School. A scrapbook was also entered in State competition and was awarded third place. As part of community relations, Student Council participated in the March of Dimes Bucket Brigade and collected 398535. In district, Kenneth Murphy took first in the 220-yard dash, Raymond Lister threw to a first in the shotput, while Steve Deason jumped into first in the high hurdles. The mile relays team of Battise Pearson, Kenneth Murphy, Willie Jenkins, and Kenneth Killings, won first in its division. In the regional meet, Steve Deason entered the shotput and won first place.
