Illustrated Lessons The introduction of illustrated lessons in various subjects during the past year has brought with it increased incentive for learning and consequently better achievements. In some classes even motion pictures have been shown. Eng- lish and History classes in particular have adopted this method of teaching. 0ccupation.al Courses A few years ago an experimental course in Occupations was added to the curriculum of Eau Claire High School. This course has developed into one of the most practical offered. A very detailed study of the various occupations which students might take up in later life, is made possible by the use of a special library lcept for that purpose. Laboratory Erperimeuting Our Science Department is constantly broadening its held and offering more opportunities for the scientihcally-in- clined student. The addition of new and improved equipment presents an up- to-date and extremely interesting course. Evidence of this fact is shown in thc ever increasing number of students en- rolling in these courses, many students taking two or three sciences. Booster Club The Booster Club of Eau Claire High School has proved itself a definite suc- cess. It has been very beneficial in many respects. This system has made it pos- sible for students to attend all school activities at a nominal costg it has given training to commercial studentsg and last but not least, it has simplihed the finan- cial management of extra curricular activities. pdgt7Z ADMINISTRATION

General Science Projects The example shown in this picture is one of the many unique and interesting projects developed by the students and teachers, in connection with the regular class work. Besides the irrigation pro- ject illustrated here, a miniature airport was also constructed. lllechanicol Drawing Mechanical Drawing is essential to modern industry. It is a broad held with many phases to specialize in. Our high school prides itself in this field and offers several advanced courses in this suhject. The equipment is of the best obtainable. Chef Class Interesting?-Indeed! A boys' chef class was introduced into Eau Claire High School this year. All the funda- mental requirements for a chef are taught. Even if you aren't going to be a cook-you learn cooking, and It's lots of fun! Woodwork If you wish to acquire knowledge in the manual arts, such aspirations are made possible in our woodwork and asso- ciated manual-art departments. Much attention is given to the individual in these classes, and he is given an oppor- tunity to carry out his own projects.
