Under the school colors, maroon and white. Class chums have been made and found. Lots of fun we’ve had and shared, A long with the discipline, which was sound. It isn’t hard to take the musts of school. Remember in a lot of ways, Each individual works and plays. High school means much in later years. In which we cherish our, memories dear. Girls and boys to women and men. Highly enthused and on the road to the future, which way will it go, where will it end. So long, says the ’52’s So long, and don’t get the blues. We’ll be, glad, that we’re, going today. And we'll, come back, some bright, and shiny day. We’ve had lots of joy. With every girl and boy. Teachers were very nice, when they’d get us on ice. So long now our work it is done, We’re happy, but it won’t be all fun. We’ve left all our trade-marks and all of our bra n arts. With the years to come. We think that the Seniors should be let out of school to work on their cars when they feel it is necessary. We wish Mr. Rhinard would get a wagon to carry his brief-case to class with, because he looks so tired when he arrives. We think the Seniors should have a private smoking room for vve boys not out for sports. We think Mr. Miller should take us on more field trips. We don’t think the SENIORS should have to come to school, only during classes. We think the Seniors should have a private telephone in the study hall. We think the Seniors should be able to eat in study hall any time they want. We also think they should be the first ones down to the lunchroom. We wish the underclassmen would in the future have more respect for the Seniors because they’ll be in the same place some day. We don’t know why the Seniors can’t be at least a little late for basket- ball practice. We wish Miss Ganzlin wouldn’t disrupt the study hall by yelling so loud. We think the Seniors should occupy one corner of the study hall and be able to talk any time they wanted to. We wish when we’re supposed to get out of class for meetings. Miss Ganzlin would at least give us an A for our good work, and when students come to the door, she could at least leave their heads on. Why can’t the Seniors have a private doorman (preferably a lower- classman) to open the doors for them when they are entering school and classrooms. Why can’t we have an elevator to carry us from one flight to the other as it tires our feet to walk up and down the stairs one step at a time. The Seniors would like to have their own study hall so the other grades won’t bother them when they study. We don’t see why some of the Junior Classmen consider themselves Seniors in College, as we’re their elders by one year and they should respect our great knowledge. Why can’t the new school be built before we graduate and the Seniors have complete authority. Why do the lower classmen blame us lor everything tnat happens, everyone, knows we’re perfect angels. Ted Menchinger Frank Weber Chuck Duncan 17 £L Qs We, the graduating Class of “52,” being of sound mind and body do hereby make our last will and testament to the following persons: Clara Mattner wills all her nights with Dick M. to Ida. We hope Mr. Rhinard will have as good a Government Class in the future as he had with the Seniors of 52.” Signed, sealed, and witnessed by: Dorothy Jackson Jeanette Walters and Don Slatton CLASS FLOWER: Yellow Rose CLASS COLORS: Yellow and White MOTTO: Go Forth And Conquer Prophecy TOM: As I was driving along in my old wrecker the other day, I saw what I thought was an accident, but it was only Bob Fecho, with his third car in three weeks. BOB: I go quite a few places in my traveling you know and I was traveling through Minnesota the other day and I passed a large black and red sign reading, “STOCKMAN’S DAIRY FARM,” so I drove in and there was Herb battling with his wife to see who would milk the cows. Of course their eight children come in handy as farm help. TOM: I wonder what has happened to the rest of the Class of “52?“ I sure wish Don Slatton was here because he is a census taker for the Government and he knows where everyone is. (Tom looks up very surprised.) Well, speak of the devil and he is always sure to appear. If it isn’t our old friend Don Slatton. DON: Hi everyone. Fancy meeting you fellows here. BOB: We were just talking about you Don, wishing you were here so we could pick up some gossip on some of our old classmates. Do you know the whereabouts of any of them. DON: Yes, here’s one that will sure surprise you. I went to Sing Sing the other day to take account, and who do you suppose I ran into. None other than Ted Menchinger. He had on the cutest suit—Pen Stripes. He has only six years to serve for throwing a baseball game. TOM: Don, you know that Bob is a traveling salesman, don’t you. He’s just been telling me some of his experiences. BOB: Oh yes, and by the way I forgot to tell you that I was touring Wisconson the other day and I pulled up in front of this big white farmhouse, and as I did a little head peeked out of every window. There was at least ten windows. When I knocked on the door who do you suppose answered it. None other than Mike Krueger. We conversed for a while, and when I left I didn’t have the Heart to tell her that her pot roast was burning. DON: As I was looking through my files the other day, I saw that Jane Smith Knefley and her three children are living at an Army Camp with Jim. Jane’s occupa- tion is dishwashing for the Generals. TOM: Clara as you know is Mrs. Ernie Riemer, she has him do all the cooking and housework, while she sells farm insurance policies, and runs the farm. I guess she’s pretty successful she made over ten thousand dollars last year. BOB: I just finished reading a book written by Frank Weber, the famous writer now as well known as Shakespeare in his day. He has his children type the stories, which makes them very interesting, because they add their own personal touch. His newest best seller is “HOW DID I EVER GET THROUGH SCHOOL.” DON: The other day when reading the newspaper I read that the Duchess Marilyn of Germany and her husband Francis are going to make a trip to America. They’re going to visit some relation, the Prillwitzs’ and Kerstetters. They aren’t going to bring their children because she is afraid they will catch some American germ. TOM: At my garage the other day someone said that Dorothy Jackson is now the wife of the General Vernon Peachey, who took Eisenhowers place in Europe. Seeing that her husband is so famous, she's going to run for President and try to be as famous, being the first Woman President. BOB: Yesterday, I heard over the radio where Chuck Duncan owns all the airlines in the U. S. I don't know if he is married or not but I don’t think he would have a hard time finding a girl with all those stewardesses that work on his planes. DON: Beverly Celis is now an underpaid secretary for her lawyer husband. She invited me to her home and much to my surprise she had Jeanette Allerton baby- sitting for the day. Jeanette now owns half of the Michigan Bell Telephone Company. She keeps Gene on the go taking care of their six children, as she is the boss of the family. TOM: Say, the other day I went to the hospital to see a friend and who should I see but Marian Bennett as the head nurse. It’s the classiest hospital in the town, for she had it built and she would have nothing but the best. BOB: I went to a salesman’s convention the other day and they had as their guest speaker none other than Francis Jackson, the top Professor of Michigan State College’s Research Department. DON: Well it sure was fun to go over old times together and find out where the rest of our classmates were. But now I’ve got to be going, maybe we’ll be able to do this again in a few years. TOM: Guess we better break up the party too, huh Bob? Be seeing you around sometime. BOB: Sure, so long Tom. C.’S Success Conscious” business majors who believe in a thorough training for the opportunities ahead, organized the first Comrttercial Club in E. C. H. S., December 6, 1951, under the direction of Mrs. Helen Ferris. The twelve members with Margaret Karn as President; Kay Kaiser as Vice-Presi- dent; Marian Bennett, Secretary; and Billy Frank as Reporter; Donna Peachey, Treasurer; met bi-monthly to enjoy the experiences that the classroom could not give them. A creed was set up with its goal of each developing to a maximum capacity. Projects include: movies, experiences on as many machines possible, two of which, the soundscriber, and Sunstrand ten key adding machine was donated by Mr. Robert Payne of the Eau Claire Packing Company. Each member made himself responsible for a thorough study of a topic and then an attractive presentation of it in meetings. It is the desire of these charter members that others following will build on this frame work for themselves and their school. C.’S “Success Conscious” business majors who believe in a thorough training for the opportunities ahead, organized the first Commercial Club in E. C. The following names are the twelve mem- bers of the Club: June Rock, Richard Knoth, Marilyn Prillwitz, Beverly Hewitt, Jane Smith, Josephine Wilbur, Donna Peachey, Marian Bennett, Margaret Karn, Kay Kaiser, Bill Frank, and Dixie Airgood. 30 Student Council STANDING: SEATED: Left to right-B.
