Grumblers Here we arc, the angels of the Class and they have to ask us to be the ones to gripe. Why is it they always pick on us? Don't see why we can't have escalators on the stairs. We Sen- iors surely get tired walking up all those stairs, just to spend another day. Why can t we have a new gym? The Seniors will start it with a corner stone and even engrave their names on it. Can't see why they don't let the Seniors out first to get their lunch, so they could sleep the rest of the noon hour. We surely like the way we always have the same temperatures in each room. It seems that with that new boiler we got last year we would have either the same warmth or freeze at the same temperatures: It surely would be nice if the teachers would keep their books on their own desks instead of piling them on the student s desks. It seems the teachers just can't seem to realize that some stu- dents have to study sometime: Instead of talking out loud in study hall cant they whisper like they make the students do? Why can't the teachers give the Seniors a big party that lasts a couple of weeks with a couple more weeks of rest after the party and give them A s for all the days missing, seeing that they've been in school for thirteen years. And why can't each class have a private telephone so they can make their personal phone calls without bothering anyone in the office. Why can't there be somebody to arrest the policemen, instead of them always arresting us? Wouldn’t it be nice to have an office girl so we wouldn't have to pay double for paper and things because we ran out during school time, especially when some teachers enjoy giving tests: Why can't those good looking typewriter repairmen come and see the girls in typing instead of Mrs. Ferris? Why doesn't Mr. Prediger and Mr. Maston get together on where they hide the chalk and erasers in the Science room, then they won't have to yell at the students 'cause they think the students hid them. We can't understand why we, the Seniors, never make any money on parties when we try so hard to do so. Can't the lowerclassmen understand and help to co-operate? Why is it that students can't get excused admits for skipping school: After they work so hard trying to think up good excuses, they have to make up time: Why did they have to take the chairs away from the library table so we can't sit back there and talk the 6th period. Why couldn't they have left the arms on the chairs in the Science room, they were so nice and comfortable for us to sleep on. Don't you think the Seniors should have lockers so when they arrive late they will have a place to hang their coats? ??????? Cora Russ Joyce Classman Delores Heppler 19
