Prophecy Paul: It was surely nice to have President Herbert Hoover, invite us to the White House for our annual reunion, wasn't it? Bob: Isn't this Sam Waldo coming in now? Isn't he the farmer that's providing the East Coast with grain ? Hi, Sam! Sam: Hi, Bob! Hi, Paul! Hey, Bob, aren't you lucky though, you and Joan having enough kids you don't need hny hired help? About eight wasn't it? Say Paul, how many Veterinarian Hospitals did you say you owned in the country now? Paul: Oh, didn't you hear I just bought out the University of Michigan anc guess who I got to redecorate it for me. Bob: Who’ Paul: I was able to get Joyce Glassman to do it. Remember she want- ed to do that kind of work, well she has a big firm in New York called the Glassman Decorating Agency. Sam: Did you ever hear what happened to Janie Thomas, did she ever hook Willie Brown? Paul: Oh yes, I was traveling through Arizona the other day and saw a big ranch and guess who I saw running it. There was a big sign- board saying Willie and Jamie, OWNERS, so naturally I stopped to chat awhile with them and, lo and behold, there were eight little ones running around making a lot of noise. Sam: Talking about ranches I got a letter the other day from Harry Stockman. He has a big farm out in Iowa, about 650 acres. Bob: I believe I read something about him in the Country Gentleman the other day. Isn't he the one that's supplying the U.S. with milk and butter. All of his cows bring in over 1200 of butterfat and he has sixty-five of them all registered stock. I don't remember who it was he married but the seven children he has helps him out in work- ing the farm. Paul: Say, have you seen the latest edition Look magazine? It shows “Hep right there on the cover. She got the job she always wanted. She is doing a good job as one of Power's models and besides that she is famous as a good mother to three children. Sam: You remember Cora Ruff don't you? I read her ad in the paper the other day. She owns a beauty salon on Broadway, and doing a pretty good job at it. 16 .

Bob: Did Cora finally marry Vernon, 1 don't remember? Paul: Yes, but it took ten years to finish that fight and now they are resting happily from it for the rest of their lives. Sam: I read about Ronald Murphy in Life magazine. It showed a big color picture of him and the rocket he invented to go on his trip to the moon. Bob: I saw Earl Paustian the other day. Says he got a good job in the Tucker plant. He's getting about $600 a week now. He's the one that got the plant going again. Paul: Oh, that's National State Patrolman's Annual Banquet Dinner. Bob: I heard about Vernon Peachey as an Agriculture instructor, he's really doing business in it. He is noted for really accomplish- ing a lot. He's getting $1200 a month. Sam: Say, you remember Stanley Stasiak0 He had his picture in Life. He was the first engineer to attempt to build a bridge across the Atlantic and succeed at it. Now he can drive across to see his French girls instead of spending money flying across in his pri- vate airplane. Paul: Remember Jack Blake. He's really set up in business now. He is going around the country planting Red Wood and Giant Sequoia where they need trees. 192 Lovers Lane Leap Year Station Dear Sweetheart, After long consideration, I've a strong inclination to become your relation. If this manifestation, should meet with your approbation, it will cause me great elation. I shall then make preparation for our future habitation, but if the exclamation of my admiration should excite your indignation it will cause me great humiliation which I will try to bear with resignation. Yours with Punctuation, Puzzlerzation 17
