Of all the things that we have learned. This step toward the future we have turned. The time has come when we must part, But fond school memories will cling to our heart. We wish to thank our teachers all, Who have taught us to stand, not fall. And when in our future we will walk, More and more of these days we will talk. These days we will never again regain, Although we will not forget a single name. We are on the upward climb, And we know you’re not far behind. So be good and think of we. Who have successfully climbed the tree. As spring roses bloom and die. We will say our last goodbye. Written by-Joyce Classman Delores Heppler Paul Hibbs “DEAR E.C.H.S.” Class Song (Music of Forever And Ever) For ever and ever we'll be true to you, Dear E.C.H.S. we hail to you. For our fun and our learning, we give thanks to you, Dear old E.C.H.S., we’re proud we went to you. Let memories still linger forever. How teachers had to suffer all those years. But if they could see us when in society we have climbed, We are sure that they will all change their minds. We now have our future, To look forward too. With information we learned in our dear school, Soon we will be leaving, for destination unknown, Dear old t.C.H.S. we will be loyal to you. Bob: Isn't this Sam Waldo coming in now? Isn't he the farmer that's providing the East Coast with grain ? Hi, Sam! Sam: Hi, Bob! Hi, Paul! Hey, Bob, aren't you lucky though, you and Joan having enough kids you don't need hny hired help? About eight wasn't it? Say Paul, how many Veterinarian Hospitals did you say you owned in the country now? Paul: Oh, didn't you hear I just bought out the University of Michigan anc guess who I got to redecorate it for me. Bob: Who’ Paul: I was able to get Joyce Glassman to do it. Remember she want- ed to do that kind of work, well she has a big firm in New York called the Glassman Decorating Agency. Sam: Did you ever hear what happened to Janie Thomas, did she ever hook Willie Brown? Paul: Oh yes, I was traveling through Arizona the other day and saw a big ranch and guess who I saw running it. There was a big sign- board saying Willie and Jamie, OWNERS, so naturally I stopped to chat awhile with them and, lo and behold, there were eight little ones running around making a lot of noise. Sam: Talking about ranches I got a letter the other day from Harry Stockman. He has a big farm out in Iowa, about 650 acres. Bob: I believe I read something about him in the Country Gentleman the other day. Isn't he the one that's supplying the U.S. with milk and butter. All of his cows bring in over 1200 of butterfat and he has sixty-five of them all registered stock. I don't remember who it was he married but the seven children he has helps him out in work- ing the farm. Paul: Say, have you seen the latest edition Look magazine? It shows “Hep right there on the cover. She got the job she always wanted. She is doing a good job as one of Power's models and besides that she is famous as a good mother to three children. Sam: You remember Cora Ruff don't you? I read her ad in the paper the other day. She owns a beauty salon on Broadway, and doing a pretty good job at it. 16 . Bob: Did Cora finally marry Vernon, 1 don't remember? Paul: Yes, but it took ten years to finish that fight and now they are resting happily from it for the rest of their lives. Sam: I read about Ronald Murphy in Life magazine. It showed a big color picture of him and the rocket he invented to go on his trip to the moon. Bob: I saw Earl Paustian the other day. Says he got a good job in the Tucker plant. He's getting about $600 a week now. He's the one that got the plant going again. Paul: I got a letter from Walter Peachey the other day, he has been promoted from his dead beat to head of the NSPABD. Sam: What s NSPABD? Paul: Oh, that's National State Patrolman's Annual Banquet Dinner. Bob: I heard about Vernon Peachey as an Agriculture instructor, he's really doing business in it. He is noted for really accomplish- ing a lot. He's getting $1200 a month. Sam: Say, you remember Stanley Stasiak0 He had his picture in Life. He was the first engineer to attempt to build a bridge across the Atlantic and succeed at it. Now he can drive across to see his French girls instead of spending money flying across in his pri- vate airplane. Paul: Remember Jack Blake. He's really set up in business now. He is going around the country planting Red Wood and Giant Sequoia where they need trees. 192 Lovers Lane Leap Year Station Dear Sweetheart, After long consideration, I've a strong inclination to become your relation. If this manifestation, should meet with your approbation, it will cause me great elation. I shall then make preparation for our future habitation, but if the exclamation of my admiration should excite your indignation it will cause me great humiliation which I will try to bear with resignation. Signed-Class of 1950 Witnesses-Earl Paustian- Herb Hoover - Ronald Murphy- 18 Grumblers Here we arc, the angels of the Class and they have to ask us to be the ones to gripe. Why is it they always pick on us? Don't see why we can't have escalators on the stairs. We Sen- iors surely get tired walking up all those stairs, just to spend another day. Why can t we have a new gym? The Seniors will start it with a corner stone and even engrave their names on it. Can't see why they don't let the Seniors out first to get their lunch, so they could sleep the rest of the noon hour. We surely like the way we always have the same temperatures in each room. It seems that with that new boiler we got last year we would have either the same warmth or freeze at the same temperatures: It surely would be nice if the teachers would keep their books on their own desks instead of piling them on the student s desks. It seems the teachers just can't seem to realize that some stu- dents have to study sometime: Instead of talking out loud in study hall cant they whisper like they make the students do? Why can't the teachers give the Seniors a big party that lasts a couple of weeks with a couple more weeks of rest after the party and give them A s for all the days missing, seeing that they've been in school for thirteen years. And why can't each class have a private telephone so they can make their personal phone calls without bothering anyone in the office. Why can't there be somebody to arrest the policemen, instead of them always arresting us? Wouldn’t it be nice to have an office girl so we wouldn't have to pay double for paper and things because we ran out during school time, especially when some teachers enjoy giving tests: Why can't those good looking typewriter repairmen come and see the girls in typing instead of Mrs. Ferris? Why doesn't Mr. Prediger and Mr. Maston get together on where they hide the chalk and erasers in the Science room, then they won't have to yell at the students 'cause they think the students hid them. We can't understand why we, the Seniors, never make any money on parties when we try so hard to do so. Can't the lowerclassmen understand and help to co-operate? Why is it that students can't get excused admits for skipping school: After they work so hard trying to think up good excuses, they have to make up time: Why did they have to take the chairs away from the library table so we can't sit back there and talk the 6th period. Why couldn't they have left the arms on the chairs in the Science room, they were so nice and comfortable for us to sleep on. Don't you think the Seniors should have lockers so when they arrive late they will have a place to hang their coats? ???????
