Student Council is one of Eastwood's most active organ- izations. The purpose of student council is to promote school spirit and citizenship, improve student-teacher re - lations, and to serve the student body and the community with worthwhile projects. Student Council is seen active ly sewing the student body every moming by selling school supplies. The supervision of elections at EHS is another function of the student council. Early in the Fall soon after the beginning of school, the members of student council discussed the possibility of having auniform class ring. Next the student council held a pep week with the classes competing to have the best decorated hall. Pep week was terminated by the football homecoming festivities. Another activity held in con- junction with the football season was Parent's Night. To prepare for the basketball season, the student council purchased and placed the pennants of the Northern Lakes League teams in the gymnasium. Smaller Eastwood pen- nants were sold to the student body during the lunch periods. These are only a few of the many activities sponsored by the Student Council.
