Professor Howard, head of The Music Deparfmenf, is a man of dignify who makes his sTudenTs and his job his firsf priorify. His dedicafion To ENC Takes him oufside of The classroom as well. Professor Howard can ofTen be seen cheer- ing Crusaders onTo vicTory aT home games, alongside one of his sons. Nease, President TO THE MEMBERS OF THE CLASS OF 1988 Four years ago the doors of Eastern Nazarene College opened to you. You entered -- a bit hesitantly -- and soon became a part of our great HENC Familyu. Your Freshman, Sophomore and Junior years passed more rapidly fand successfully!! than you dared imagine -- and now as Seniors you are about to be graduated from ENC -- your Alma Mater. During these formative years, door after door has opened and you have entered -- often again with hesitation -- and, beyond each door you have found new vistas unfolding -- developing ideas, knowledge, values and skills. We earnestly pray that your college years have been a blessing and a means of personal and spiritual growth. Now you are about to graduate, to become NENC Alumnin. As you do, we want you to know that God is opening yet another set of doors -- doors of opportunity and service -- entry points to per- sonal fulfillment. You will fulfill the mission of ENC if, as you graduate, you,- with the Apostle Paul exclaim, Ha great door for effective work has opened to men. It is true that nthere are many adversariesn, but through Christ you can, as Paul urges Hbe watch- ful, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.u tsee I Corinthians 16:9 8 13, RSVJ. One other thing -- please remember that as new doors open to you, the doors of your alma mater ever will beckon you to return -- to relive your happy college days, and renew association with the classmates, faculty and staff members who came to mean so much to you. And, may I have the temerity to add -- as you leave ENC, your prayers and support of your Alma Mater will enable her to open doors to other persons like yourselves. May God go with you! Stephen W.
