EASTERN NAZARENE CGLLEGE WOLLASTON PARK, QUINCV, MASSACHUSETTS Ofnce ofthe President May 8, 1950 Dear iriend of E.'N.C., The B.N.C. story is a thrilling epic of sacrifice and devotion, of vision and fulfillment. From our present vantage point, after fifty years of progress, we can see that the history of the past is replete with toil, and effort, and struggle. As we trace the development of the college from the earliest days as a snall Bible school at the turn of the century, it is also evident that there have been periods of growth and accomplishment and times of g1ori0uSrealiza tion. E.N.C. is a crusade, splendid in its conception, valient in its endeavor, and impressive in its achievement. Its vic- tories have been won under the banner of the cross. E.N.C. is also a spirit, infectious and inpelling. It has flamed in the hearts of the consecrated men and women whose sturdy Christian character is reflected today in the ideals and standards of the college. Nothing more meaningful can be said for E.N.C. than to declare that the spirit which has characterized the institution for half a century is still aliveg and that the crusade which was begun so many years ago is still being carried on with increased vision and aug mented forces. The future presents an unparalleled challenge. We face it with firm confidence that God who has led so unerringly during the past fifty years will, in the days ahead, continue to lead on in victorious conquest. Sincerely yours, M777 Edward S. Mann, President ESM:y
