Today, more than ever before, it is necessary for the citizens of this country to be well-informed concerning political activities and impli- cations, both at home and abroad. Perhaps this is the reason many students elect courses which will give them an understanding and a background of the events which shape the world. The Departments of Geography, History, and Social Sciences present a wide selection of courses to a large number of students.
