Often we have been discouraged. Then indeed it has been good to have your advice fas our superiors you were always very willing to give itj and your help. This year the Degree Class has been larger than ever beforeg consequently it has been able to work more effectively than former classes. But We predict greater things for the next Degree Class, for after many years of untiring effort Professors Lyman and Barbour have finally secured from the University of Michigan recognition of our degrees so that students of the Normal will be able to take up graduate work in Ann Arbor without the loss of any credits. In his letter to the Normal Committee Dean Lloyd of the Graduate School in the University writes: 'tHereafter graduates of the Normal College with t.he degree of A.B. will be admitted to the Graduate School under the usual conditions. This means that if such graduates show satisfactory high school preparation and a satis- factory four-year collegiate course and bring with them personal recommenda- tions of their fitness for graduate study they will be admitted to our Graduate School? This will mean a greater number of Degree students for the Normalg it will make this school in reality what before it has been in name, a Normal College. Then hcre's to our Degrees who leave us, and here's to the Degrees who come! And herels to our old Alma Bflater, may she ever achieve success!
