Because The TarTan plaid represenTs The Tamily by which iT is claimed, The Tar- Tan was chosen as The name oT EasTern l'lills' news- paper. The organizaTions aT EasTern l-lills, like The clans oT ScoTland, provide many beneTiTs Tor everyone. Each year The Red Cross sponsors a drive Tor Tunds which aid in The ciTy's Red Cross proiecTs. The Ger- man, French, LaTin, and Spanish clubs help To give sTudenTs a beTTer undersTanding oT The oTher coun- Tries and Their people by Teaching The cusToms oT The diTTerenT counTries. Many clubs and organiza- Tions provide sTudenTs wiTh a chance To display Their skills in diTTerenT Tields: chess, bowling, band, iournalism, arT, music, miliTary, and academic Tields. The Bible Club TradiTionally begins each morning wiTh a passage Trom The Bible and silenT prayer. The Y-Teens are beginning The landscaping oT The school This year, among oTher proiecTs. As The Grey Dragoons oT ScoTland have long been known Tor Their TighTing spiriT, so are The Highland- eTTes known Tor Their spiriT aT EasTern l-lills' games.
